A new website called Support The Tour has just launched that lets fans support and connect with bands out on the road. Bands will receive items “donated” to them by the fans including socks, deodorant, boxers, personal care items, and snacks. Items are delivered to the bands a week before they leave for tour. Bands are also able to use the site via their “Couch Crashers” network to find places to stay on tour. As to not take advantage of the fans, each fan will receive points for their contributions, which can be exchanged for merchandise and prizes from the bands. Thought I’d share this information as it could come in handy for any bands out there looking for a place to crash on the road. Pretty cool too for fans to have their favorite band stay at their house and help them out on tour. Win-win for both sides.
